Geo-Wiki
GeoWiki is a global platform tackling data gaps related to land use, biodiversity, food security, and environmental change.
By combining citizen science, data science, and Earth observation, the platform supports monitoring and implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals through open, FAIR-compliant data.
The visual direction was designed to clearly stand out from the existing desktop application while embracing a bolder, more expressive interpretation of the application.
I led the end-to-end redesign of the application to improve usability, clarity, and scalability across devices.
The project involved redesigning core user flows, introducing new UI components and advanced filtering capabilities, and establishing a cohesive design system for consistency across the platform.
I delivered a fully updated mobile experience, optimizing complex geospatial data interactions for smaller screens. The redesign strengthens user engagement, accessibility, and trust, enabling scientists, policymakers, and citizens to more effectively explore, contribute to, and act on GeoWiki’s data.
